Acoustic

Noise control by means of acoustical pipe-lagging is done by wrapping the exterior surface area of a pipe with a high density sound absorption material. A damping layer sheaths the Absorption Layer and isolates vibrations as well as converting much of the acoustic and vibratory energy to heat. This damper has high sound transmission loss properties.
